SIBURAN: Four people were injured following a two-vehicle collision in front of SJKC Beratok along Jalan Kuching–Serian last night (Feb 3).

The accident happened at around 7.15pm and involved a Perodua Kenari and a Perodua Kancil.

Initial reports indicated that several victims were still inside the vehicles when rescuers arrived at the scene.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the driver of the Kenari and three occupants of the Kancil sustained injuries. Another occupant in the Kancil escaped unharmed.

Firefighters from Siburan station assisted in removing the injured victims from the vehicles using spinal boards as a precautionary measure.

The four victims were later transported to Serian Hospital for further treatment.

The rescue operation ended at 7.40pm.

The Kancil that was involved in the collision that left four people hurt.
