SIBU: A chain collision involving two lorries, a trailer and a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) occurred in front of the Lanang Police Station here this morning.
The incident happened when the compact SUV vehicle was rear-ended by a lorry, causing damage to the vehicle’s rear windscreen.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said the lorry was subsequently hit from behind by another lorry after being struck by a trailer.
“Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as the driver of the lorry which was caught in the middle, had been rescued by members of the public before the arrival of firefighters,” the department said in a statement.
Earlier, the Sibu Sentral Fire and Rescue Station received a call regarding the incident at 8.42 am.
