Tanjung receives medical attention at home.

KUCHING: An elderly man who has frequently gone missing was found at 10.54am yesterday within a kilometre from his house. He was found by villagers in a weak but stable condition.

Tanjung Harum, 79, who was suffering from dementia, went missing again for the fourth time at Kampung Bengang, Lundu on Wednesday at about 9.20pm.

He was last seen in his house clad in a blue t-shirt and blue short pants. His family members said in the first two occasions that Tanjung went missing, he was found within the vicinity of the village while on the third occasion he was found in a neighbour’s house.

A joint search and rescue (SAR) operation comprising personnel of the Fire and Rescue Services Department, police and other rescue services and villagers were involved in the search for Tanjung in the nearby jungle.
