SIMANGGANG: Deputy Minister of Talent Development Sarawak cum Simanggang assemblyman, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, visited the Simanggang Ramadan Fest 2025 at Jalan Club here recently.
The Ramadan Bazaar is a key tradition of the holy month, offering a space for Muslims to observe fasting while earning a livelihood through food sales.
It also serves as a vibrant community hub with a variety of traditional and modern dishes for visitors to enjoy.
The Simanggang Ramadan Bazaar stands out for its inclusivity, attracting people from all backgrounds and creating a lively atmosphere where visitors can enjoy a diverse selection of food and drinks with their families.
“We in Sarawak, particularly in Bandar Simanggang, are truly fortunate to live in a harmonious environment, free from the fear of religious extremism.
“This allows every activity to attract visitors from within and beyond Bandar Simanggang, including foreign tourists,” said Harden.
During his visit, Harden extended his Ramadan wishes to Muslim acquaintances as they purchased food for ‘iftar’ on the fifth day of fasting.
The Simanggang Ramadan Fest 2025 continues to serve as a testament to Sarawak’s unity and cultural diversity, fostering goodwill among communities while celebrating the spirit of Ramadan.
