SIBU: Farley Sibu is set to organise the Children’s Colouring Contest 2025 on July 13, beginning at 8am at the Farley Stage, Jalan Salim, with RM16,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
Farley’s Human Resources Executive, Sie Sing Ying, said the contest is open to the public with free entry and is divided into three age categories—Group A for children aged 10 to 12, Group B for those aged 7 to 9, and Group C for those aged 4 to 6.
Speaking during a press conference at Farley’s premises on Tuesday (June 17), Sie explained that the top three winners in each category will receive a bicycle, a hamper, a trophy and a medal. There will also be 10 consolation prizes and 10 encouragement prizes for each group.
Registration can be done at the Farley Sibu Car Counter or by scanning the QR code and submitting the entry via WhatsApp to 016-8279138. Each submission must include a photocopy of the participant’s MyKid card or birth certificate. All participants will receive a door gift and the closing date for registration is July 6.
Apart from the colouring contest, Sie said the event will also feature free health screenings by Alpro Pharmacy and dental checks by the Sibu Divisional Dental Office. The public can also look forward to exhibitions by the police and fire department.
“To make the event even more lively, there will be a clown performance and free food samplings provided by several food suppliers,” she added.
