MIRI: Front Row Entertainment supports the third edition of the WAK Miri Festival by kicking off with a premier comedy show, contributing talent and attracting entertainment lovers to the city.
Executive director of Front Row Entertainment, Zaid Zaini announced the collaboration with What About Kuching (WAK) with Singaporean comedian Jacky Ng as the headline, performing live at Octo Gastrobar on June 19.
“This partnership marks a significant milestone for Front Row Comedy Sentral (FRCS), which launched in June last year as a dedicated expansion from Front Row Entertainment’s highly successful musical concerts,” he highlighted at a press conference for WAK Miri Festival 2026.
As a Sarawak based live entertainment organisation, FRCS also works in concert and show promotion, putting spotlight on local and regional talent, elevating Sarawak’s presence on the national entertainment map.
“Having previously brought legendary comedy icons like Kumar, Douglas Lim and Harith Iskander to the stage, the launch of FRCS solidified the company’s commitment to growing the regional comedy scene.
“The upcoming Miri show represents FRCS’s very first collaboration with WAK, a partnership designed to inject an unparalleled level of excitement and a fresh variety of entertainment and arts into Sarawak’s cultural landscape,” he added.
Following that, he also emphasises the harmonious blend of Front Row’s premier entertainment curation with WAK’s vibrant community platform delivers world class entertainment to audiences across the region.
Zaid further added that FRCS will host a massive, week-long comedy festival from Oct 17-25, running as an anchor feature during WAK’s month-long celebration in Kuching.
The event promises an exciting lineup of international and local artistes, with further details to be announced once the lineup is finalised.
