KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a contract worth RM2.14 billion for the construction, completion, testing and commissioning of hyperscale data centres.

Gamuda said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that the contract for the data centres located in Eco Business Park V, Selangor was awarded by Quantum Alpha Sdn Bhd on August 29, 2025.

“The project is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2025 and be completed in the same quarter of 2027,” it said.

The group added that the scope of work involves the construction, completion, testing and commissioning of the shell and core of two data centre blocks, a consumer substation and a water reservoir.

It includes the development of associated infrastructure and ancillary facilities.

“The project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of Gamuda for the financial year ending July 31, 2026 onwards until its completion,” it added. – BERNAMA
