MIRI: Ninety underprivileged people, including children from the Hamidah Yakub Welfare complex received their ‘duit raya’ during the ‘Sentuhan Kasih Gawai-Aidilfitri’ on Wednesday night.
Apart from that, they also received Gawai-Raya goodies presented by Datuk Sri Hafsah Harun, a non-executive special advisor (Sarawak affairs) in the Deputy Prime Minister’s office.
Also present were Miri MP Dr Micheal Teo, Pujut assemblyman Dr Ting Tiong Choon and Marini Juraibi of Baitulmal Miri branch.
The event was hosted by Persatuan Prihatin Sibuti.
