KUCHING: The recent launch of Genstar Learning Centre here marked a new chapter in inclusive education.
The centre, designed to support children aged 3 to 12 with diverse learning needs, aims to provide a nurturing and understanding environment for holistic development.
Officiated by Dr Angie Garet, president of the Sarawak Women for Women Society (SWWS), the event drew families, educators, and child development advocates, reflecting the community’s growing commitment to inclusive learning.
Located on the 1st Floor, No. 94, Lot 14941, Block 11, MTLD, Stutong Parade, Jalan Setia Raja, Genstar offers a wide range of services including consultations, developmental screenings, Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), early intervention programmes, speech and communication support, emotional and sensory regulation, social skills training, and parent support services.
“Genstar was born out of the recognition that children need more than academic support. They need to be understood, accepted and guided,” said director Kiranjeet Kaur.
Visitors were given a guided tour of the centre’s facilities, including interactive learning stations.
The event ended with a symbolic photo of the leadership team, capturing Genstar’s mission to champion the growth journey of every child.
