KUCHING: Have your furry friends been vaccinated against rabies?
If not, pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs for a free anti-rabies vaccination, licensing, and microchipping programme happening here tomorrow (Apr 26).
The initiative, jointly organised by the Padawan Municipal Council (PMC) and the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (DVS), will take place at the Multipurpose Hall, Lorong 20, Desa Wira from 9 am to 3 pm.
Dog owners will also benefit from subsidised neutering, with a RM150 subsidy offered for the first 50 licensed and vaccinated dogs under PMC.
To be eligible for the services, pet dogs must be healthy, over three months old, and not pregnant.
Owners are also required to bring their identification cards (IC) and any existing pet’s vaccination records, if any.
The one-day event aims to support the state’s ongoing efforts to curb the spread of rabies and promote responsible pet ownership.
