KUCHING: The introduction of SBST buses under the BAS.My branding has been met with an enthusiastic response from the public.
Many commuters have praised the new fleet for its modern features, enhanced comfort and improved accessibility, making public transport a more viable option for daily travel.
With increasing interest in the service, many have also sought more details on routes and schedules.
The initial route, Q10, currently operates between Open Air Market and Serian Bus Terminal, covering 48 stops.
The operating hours are as follows: weekdays from 5.00 am to 11.00 pm while for weekends from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm.
To enhance affordability and accessibility, the much-anticipated My50 concession card, offering unlimited monthly travel, will be available for registration starting next week.
“We understand the importance of affordable public transport for our community, which is why we are excited to roll out the My50 concession card.
“To ease the registration process, Biaramas Express Sdn Bhd will open a dedicated service office at 9 Market Street, near 7-Eleven and the Open Air Market bus stop,” said Land Public Transport Commission (LPKP) Sarawak Chairman, Michael Kong Feng Nian.
The BAS.My service is set to expand in the coming weeks, with additional routes planned to improve connectivity within Kuching.
“The authorities have assured continued updates on new developments and improvements to ensure an efficient and commuter-friendly transport system,” he said.
“With its commitment to affordability, reliability and convenience, BAS.My is poised to enhance public transport accessibility for residents across the city,” he added.
