KUCHING: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife extended warm International Women’s Day greetings to all women in Malaysia, with special recognition for women in Sarawak, acknowledging their vital roles in shaping the state and the nation.
In his 2026 International Women’s Day celebration message, Wan Junaidi said women’s roles as mothers, wives, daughters, family leaders, and community leaders contribute greatly to building strong families as well as harmonious and prosperous communities.
“Indeed, women are truly special beings in our lives,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Reflecting on his personal life, he shared that his journey began with the guidance and nurturing of a mother, followed by the presence of a wife who is disciplined and modest, and blessed with three daughters.
This personal experience has given him a deeper understanding of the hearts and instincts of women.
Today, the presence of his loving wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, who is always a faithful companion, serves as a source of strength and inspiration in every step of his journey.
“May this International Women’s Day serve as a reminder for everyone to continue appreciating the contributions, sacrifices and dedication of women, ensuring that they are always respected, empowered and supported in shaping a better future for the state and the nation,” he said.
