KUANTAN: The Governor of Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi attended a royal banquet and fellowship gathering hosted by the Pahang Rabitah Alawiyyah Congregation at a prominent resort in Teluk Cempedak on Tuesday.
The banquet was attended by Pahang State Exco for Islamic Affairs, Rural Development and Orang Asli Affairs Datuk Seri Syed Ibrahim Syed Ahmad Al-Yahya and his wife Datin Seri Sharifah Farunai Syed Ahmad Al-Yahya.
Also present were the Pahang Rabitah Alawiyyah chairperson Datuk Syed Nasaruddin Syed Abdul Hadi Al-Baity, Pahang Rabitah Alawiyyah secretary Syed Abu Bakar Syed Hamzah Al-Yahya, and programme joint director Syed Badrulzaman Syed Zakariah Al-Yahya.
More than 100 members of the Pahang Rabitah Alawiyyah extended family attended the banquet, sharing a meal with Wan Junaidi and his wife.

Pahang Rabitah Alawiyyah, originally known as Pahang Asyraaf Welfare Association, was established in 2005 before they merged with the Rabitah Alawiyyah Malaysia Organisation in 2022.
It plays a key role in preserving the welfare and documenting the lineage of the Saadah Syed and Syarifah community in Pahang.
The gathering served as a platform to strengthen kinship ties, exchange views, and discuss current issues related to Islamic affairs at both state and national levels.
Wan Junaidi expressed his appreciation to the organisers and hoped that cooperation and fraternal relations will continue to be fostered for mutual benefit of all.
