KOTA SAMARAHAN: A luncheon hosted for Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, served as a platform to strengthen ties of goodwill and fellowship between the state leadership and local leaders in Samarahan.
The luncheon today (Jan 23) was organised by Deputy Speaker of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly and Muara Tuang state assemblyman, Datuk Idris Buang, together with his wife, Datin Nurhidayah, at the Government Rest House, Samarahan Division, following Wan Junaidi’s performance of prayers.
Upon arrival, Wan Junaidi was warmly received by Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kota Samarahan Member of Parliament, Datuk Rubiah Wang, along with staff of the Samarahan District Office.
Also present were Samarahan Division Resident, Mohamad Irwan Bahari Bujang; Director of the Sarawak Islamic Religious Department, Sahibus Siyadah Ustaz Mual Suaud; Temenggong Chek Bujang and other distinguished guests.
The gathering provided an opportunity for Wan Junaidi to share his experiences and perspectives, while local leaders took the chance to seek advice and guidance directly from the Head of State.
He expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and the luncheon hosted in his honour, and conveyed his hope that leaders in the Samarahan Division would continue to serve with dedication for the wellbeing and prosperity of the people.
