KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar took time to connect with congregants in Kampung Bako Lot on Friday.

He performed Friday prayers at Masjid Imaduddin and later mingled with congregants, sharing warm exchanges and presenting contributions to children in attendance.

Upon arrival, Wan Junaidi was warmly welcomed by Energy and Environmental Sustainability Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni and former political secretary to the chief minister Datuk Bujang Helmi Hazemi.

Friday prayers were led by Imam Saperi Abi, who also delivered a sermon themed on Luqmanul Hakim’s advice and wisdom to his son.

Following the prayer, the Governor signed the mosque’s guest book and joined committee members for a photo session to mark his visit.

He also prayed for continued harmony among Muslims, steadfast faith, good health, and the practice of Islamic values in daily life.
