KUALA LUMPUR: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar officiated at the launch of the biography titled ‘Guided by Integrity: A Life of Honour and Wisdom’ at the Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang Hall, Menara Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP), here.
Accompanying His Excellency at the event was his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.
According to a statement, the book chronicles the life journey of the esteemed national figure, Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang.
“It presents an inspiring account of his contributions, especially as the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Advisory Board (LPPR) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), and as the former President of the Dewan Negara.
“The title of the book aptly reflects Abu Zahar’s personality as a highly principled political figure – one who is humble and steadfast in upholding noble leadership values,” it said in Wan Junaidi’s official Facebook page.

Wan Junaidi also shared that he has known Abu Zahar since 1974, during their service together in the Royal Malaysia Police, as Members of Parliament, and later, as Presidents of the Senate.
Over the course of their friendship and shared struggles, they faced many experiences, stories, and challenges together.
He said throughout his career and personal life, Abu Zahar has consistently embodied core values such as honesty and integrity – values that are not only worthy to be upheld but should serve as guiding principles in all aspects of life, whether in public service or personal affairs.
Both Wan Junaidi and Fauziah extended their highest appreciation to the author for successfully documenting the life story of a distinguished national icon.
They also expressed hope that this book would become a valuable source of inspiration to readers, particularly among Malaysians who cherish integrity and principled leadership.
