KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, celebrated his 79th birthday with a prayer and thanksgiving ceremony held at his official residence here on Saturday night.
The modest yet meaningful event was attended by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, along with close family members.
Meanwhile, the presence of his children, in-laws, and grandchildren further enlivened the celebration.
The event began with a prayer, followed by the presentation of gifts from family members and staff of the Astana Negeri Sarawak as a token of appreciation.
A cake-cutting ceremony then took place to commemorate the occasion.
He expressed gratitude to his wife, family members, and the staff of Astana Negeri Sarawak for their efforts in organising the event.
Wan Junaidi also extended his appreciation to friends and well-wishers for their kind birthday messages.
He prayed for the continued health, well-being, and blessings of all attendees and the people of Sarawak under the protection of the Almighty.
