LUNDU: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi engaged with local community members here during a visit to a well-known local eatery followed by a stop at the SALCRA Bajo Training Centre ahead of Friday prayers.
They arrived at Restoran Haji Bujang at 10.05 am on Friday where they were welcomed by representatives of the Lundu administration and district police.
The popular restaurant, long associated with Wan Junaidi since his tenure as Member of Parliament for the area, is a familiar meeting point for locals and is known for its Sarawak Laksa, Mee Jawa, Mee Kolok and traditional Malay dishes.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah also inspected a wooden bridge behind the restaurant, constructed during the Head of State’s time as MP to improve local access for nearby residents.

The visit continued at the SALCRA Bajo Training Centre, where they received a briefing from operations manager Mohd Affendy on the centre’s training activities and development progress.
They also signed the visitors’ book and posed for photographs with staff, expressing appreciation for the warm reception.
The engagements took place before Friday prayers at Masjid Pehin Sri Haji Adenan Satem.
