KUCHING: Demonstrating both faith and leadership, Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, has performed his zakat duties for 1447H, serving as a guiding example for the Muslim community ahead of Syawal.
At 11 am today, Wan Junaidi made his Zakat Fitrah payment on behalf of his family at the official residence, Kasuma Resort, here followed by Zakat on Property, comprising proceeds from both company-owned and personal land sales.
The payments were made through representatives of the Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS), with General Manager of TBS, Datuk Abang Mohd Shibli Abang Mohd Nailie, present at the ceremony.
Accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, and daughter Sharifah Fariah, Wan Junaidi prayed for Allah SWT’s acceptance of all zakat and acts of worship, purifies hearts and wealth, bestows blessings, protects families and the people of Sarawak, and grants all Muslims the strength to be grateful, and steadfast in fulfilling their responsibilities.
