Governor reinforces ties and unity during Syawal visit

SIBU: A festive Syawal visit on Hari Raya Aidilfitri’s eighth day strengthened unity and reinforced the spirit of togetherness.

Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, marked the occasion with a visit to the residence of Temenggong Datuk Seri Wan Hamid Edruce Tuanku Mohammad and his wife, Datin Seri Sharifah Zaidah Syed Abdul Aziz.

Upon arrival, Wan Junaidi and his entourage were welcomed by Abang Mohamad Porkan Abang Budiman and his wife, Wan Junaidi Syed Munir, along with local community leaders.

The couple expressed their appreciation to the hosts for their warm hospitality and gracious reception.

According to a statement posted on his Facebook on Saturday, the visit at Taman Bandung here reflected the close bonds of friendship and unity among the community.

The visit followed the Syawal tradition of visiting one another, strengthening relationships and fostering community harmony.

Present also were their daughter Sharifah Nong-Jasima and her husband Mohamad Hakeem, daughter Tasneem, as well as Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, who served as the minister-in-attendance, together with his wife Datin Seri Zuraini Abdul Jaabar.
