KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi extended their heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei in conjunction with his 79th birthday.
According to a statement from Astana Negeri Sarawak posted on Facebook, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah offered prayers for His Majesty and Her Majesty Pengiran Anak Hajah Salehah, wishing them continued good health, lasting well-being, and divine blessings.
“Wan Junaidi and Fauziah also expressed their hope that the close relationship between Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam will continue to be strengthened for mutual benefit, in the spirit of good neighbourliness and regional harmony,” the post read.
Wan Junaidi and his wife arrived safely at the Brunei International Airport at 3:25 pm on Monday to begin their official two-day visit to the sultanate.
The visit was at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah in conjunction with the celebration of His Majesty’s 79th birthday today (July 15).
