KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi granted a special interview to Sinar Harian at their official residence in Petra Jaya yesterday (Feb 23).
The interview session was led by Group editor-in-chief of Sinar Harian, Zamri Rambli together with chief reporter Mohd Fazli Zainul Abidin.
The special interview highlights lesser-known aspects of the life of the statesman who has contributed significantly to the country throughout his long career but whose personal history has rarely been revealed to the public.
Among the interesting highlights shared were Wan Junaidi’s childhood memories, experiences while serving as a police officer, and his political journey leading up to his appointment as the Head of State.
Fauziah also shared her past experience as a flight attendant, as well as her hobbies, personal routines and favourite dishes.
The couple expressed their appreciation to the Sinar Harian group for the smooth conduct of the special interview, and voiced hope that it would have a positive impact and serves as a valuable reference for future generations.
