KUCHING: The Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Ja’afar and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi returned to Kuching on Tuesday after attending the proclamation ceremony of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Sarawak in Selangor.
The couple arrived safely at the Hornbill Skyways Terminal at noon, where they were received by officers from the Astana Negeri Sarawak.
During their visit to Istana Alam Shah, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah witnessed the historic proclamation of UPM Sarawak, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of higher education in the state.
Both of them conveyed their heartfelt appreciation for the smooth organisation of the event and extended their prayers for UPM Sarawak to continue producing quality graduates for the nation.
They also expressed gratitude and congratulations to Universiti Putra Malaysia for its commitment in uplifting education standards in Sarawak, aligning with the state’s development agenda towards becoming a high-income and advanced state by 2030.
