KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi will grace the upcoming Sarawak Day 2025 celebration.
The official invitation was presented during a courtesy call by the main organising committee of the Sarawak Day 2025 celebration at the Astana Negeri here today.
The delegation was led by Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, the Minister-in-Charge of the celebration, accompanied by several committee members.
During the meeting, Lee who is also Transport Minister provided a briefing on the latest preparations for the state-level celebration, which will take place on 22 July 2025 in Miri city.
A variety of events have been lined up, including a Sales and Sarawak Talent Carnival, Interfaith Thanksgiving ceremony, Zumba session, Unity Walk, Townhall session, and the official celebration gathering.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah expressed their appreciation to the committee for their dedication and thorough planning to ensure a successful and meaningful celebration.
They also conveyed their hopes that this year’s event would further strengthen unity among Sarawak’s diverse communities, and instill a stronger sense of pride and love for the state among its people.
