KUCHING: A group of 47 Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) personnel reported for duty at the Astana Negeri Sarawak as part of a formal reporting-in session today.
The event took place at the Dewan Santapan, Surau Astana Negeri Sarawak at 3.30pm, officiated by Senior Private Secretary to the Head of State, Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie.
Of the number, 23 were newly assigned officers. They were posted from various contingents including Sarawak, Sabah, Kuala Lumpur and Labuan.
Hamzah said the presence of these officers showed the continuous commitment to maintaining the highest level of security for the Head of State.
He said the initiative also helped strengthen professional ties among contingents while promoting a harmonious working environment.
He reminded officers to uphold integrity, discipline and teamwork in carrying out their duties.
A briefing on task guidelines, roles and work ethics at the Astana was also delivered during the session.
Hamzah also congratulated the officers on their appointments and expressed confidence that they would carry out their responsibilities with professionalism and high standards.
