KUCHING: Gunto FC claimed a morale-boosting win over Fadzio FT on match-day five of the 2025 Liga Bandaraya, with players and fans alike basking in the nectar of a hard-fought victory last Saturday (May 24).
Team manager, Arif Roslan, praised the squad’s spirit and the strong support from the stands, saying the atmosphere post-match reflected a team united in confidence.
“I’m happy because after the win against Fadzio, the players looked cheerful and not discouraged.
“The fans were amazing too; they gave us constant, solid support from start to finish,” he said.
He said these remarks to Sarawak Tribune when contacted recently.
Looking ahead, Arif said the upcoming training sessions will focus on sharpening core skills and physical attributes to prepare for their next challenge.
“We’ll be working on first touch, communication, endurance and agility, because our next opponents are very strong,” he said.
The victory positions Gunto FC well in ninth place in the league standings as they continue their push for a strong campaign in this year’s Liga Bandaraya.
