KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh was seen leaving Istana Negara at about 9.40am today (Sept 18) following a meeting of the Federal Territories Pardons Board.

Yeoh, who had arrived at about 7.48am, left the palace grounds in a Toyota Vellfire after nearly two hours without stopping to speak to members of the media. Attorney-General Datuk Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar, a statutory member of the board, was also present for the morning deliberations.

No official statement on the outcome of the meeting had been issued as of 9.40am.

The meeting came a week after the board deferred former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s application for a royal pardon at its Sept 11 sitting.

The Straits Times reported yesterday, citing sources, that the board would reconvene today to consider Najib’s application, with the matter reportedly the sole item on the agenda.

Najib’s application was not decided at the Sept 11 meeting, with the matter deferred for consideration at a future sitting
