KUCHING: Haziq Nadzli and Muhammad Ramadhan Saifullah of Kuching City FC have been named in the Harimau Malaya squad ahead of the AFC Asian Cup qualifying fixture against Vietnam on March 31.

Goalkeeper Haziq returns to the national setup alongside forward Ramadhan, marking Kuching City’s representation at both ends of the pitch in the latest selection by head coach Peter Cklamovski.

Haziq has been in solid form between the posts, helping Kuching City record clean sheets in their last three Malaysia Super League matches against Imigresen FC, Penang FC and Sabah FC.

Ramadhan, meanwhile, has been a lively presence in attack, contributing with pace and work rate in the final third as Kuching City continue their league campaign.

Both players have impressed with consistent performances domestically, earning national recognition as Malaysia step up preparations for the continental assignment.

Also included in the squad is Sarawak-born defender Dion Cools, who currently plays for Japanese club Cerezo Osaka, adding experience to the national backline.

Their inclusion underscores Kuching City’s growing contribution to the national setup, with Harimau Malaya continuing to build depth ahead of their Asian Cup qualifying campaign.
