BINTULU: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, arrived safely in Bintulu this morning to attend the state-level Maal Hijrah celebrations.
Their Excellencies touched down at Bintulu Airport at 10:40 am and were accompanied by Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, DBKU and Islamic Affairs), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, and his wife, Datin Siti Shorgayah Ahmad Zaidin.
They were warmly welcomed by Bintulu Division Resident, Datuk Nyurak Keti, Deputy Resident Abang Zainuddin Abang Turkee, senior government officials, community leaders, and local chiefs.
A doa selamat was recited upon their arrival, led by Ustaz Dzulhazdri Japar Shedik, the Islamic Religious Officer for the Bintulu Division.
The official visit is in conjunction with two key events: the End of Year 1446H and Beginning of Year 1447H celebration scheduled for this (Thursday) evening at Masjid Assyakirin, followed by the Maal Hijrah 1447H/2025 State Assembly at Dewan Suarah Bintulu tomorrow (Friday).
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah offered their prayers for the smooth and meaningful execution of all events held in conjunction with the Maal Hijrah celebration.
