KUCHING: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, graciously received a courtesy visit from the delegation of Pertubuhan Hawi Al-Khairat (HAK) Malaysia, led by its president, Dr Habib Abdul Rahman Isa Al-Haddad, at the Astana Negeri today.

The visit was held in conjunction with the presence of two prominent scholars from Tarim, Republic of Yemen – Habib Abdullah Ahmed Al-Haddad, a renowned speaker from Tarim, and Habib Muhammad Muhdhor Al-Habsyi, a qasidah reciter – who had attended the Majlis Haul Imam Abdullah bin Alawi Al-Haddad held the night before at Masjid Darul Makmur in Serian.

This visit also served as a meaningful initiative and high honour from HAK Malaysia in strengthening ties between state leaders and religious scholars and knowledge bearers from within and outside the country.

It touched on the role of dakwah institutions in reinforcing national civilisation and human development.

Wan Junaidi was also presented with a qasidah recitation of Imamul Haddad, led by Habib Muhammad Muhdhor Al-Habsyi, to invoke blessings upon the occasion.
