KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud urges Sarawakians to remain united in peace and harmony while celebrating their diversity.

In his Sarawak Day 2023 message today, Taib said he is confident in Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s leadership, stating that Sarawak can become a developed state by the year 2030.

To realise this vision, the most comprehensive Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS2030) has been implemented, ensuring Sarawak’s continued progress and prosperity.

This year’s celebration holds significant meaning, serving as a time of gratitude and remembrance for the Sarawakians who have contributed to the state’s development and progress.

He also expressed his appreciation for the prayers and well-wishes he has received for his health and wellbeing.

Currently, Taib is outside of Malaysia, following medical advice to take sufficient rest.

However, he eagerly looks forward to returning to Sarawak once he receives the doctor’s approval to do so.
