KUCHING: The Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Associations (PVATM) has proposed the appointment of the Head of State as the association’s patron in Sarawak, in accordance with existing legal provisions and practices adopted in other states.
The proposal was conveyed during a courtesy call by the Supreme Council members of PVATM to Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar at his official residence here on Wednesday.
The delegation was led by its advisor, Major (Rtd) Datuk Peter Runin and aimed to introduce the association’s new leadership line-up.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the council members to seek advice and views from Wan Junaidi regarding PVATM’s roles and its community-based activities.
Also present during the courtesy call were PVATM president Jimbau Galu, deputy president Captain (Rtd) Hadzill Awi and others.
