KUCHING: Head.of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, has been invited to officiate the Universiti Teknologi Sarawak (UTS) 11th Convocation ceremony scheduled for November 14 and 15.
The invitation was conveyed during a courtesy visit by a UTS delegation led by its Vice-Chancellor, Ir Ts Prof Dr Mohammad Shahril Osman, to Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at Astana Negeri Sarawak on Wednesday.
Wan Junaidi, who is also UTS Chancellor, is scheduled to attend the first day of the convocation on Nov 14 at the Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud Chancellor Hall.
The visit also provided an opportunity for Dr Mohammad Shahril to introduce himself to the Head of State following his appointment as UTS’ third Vice-Chancellor on July 1.
The delegation also briefed Wan Junaidi on the latest developments at the university.
