Head of State welcomes close protection officers

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi welcomed 12 newly appointed close protection officers at the Astana Negeri Sarawak today.

The ceremony, held at 1:30 pm at the Head of State’s official residence in Petra Jaya, introduced seven male and five female police personnel who will serve as part of the close protection unit.

In a Facebook statement, Wan Junaidi called on the officers to perform their duties with dedication and professionalism.

He stressed the importance of adhering to protocol, maintaining discipline and integrity, and safeguarding confidentiality in their daily tasks.

He added that close protection officers are the frontliners in ensuring the safety and smooth execution of official duties for both himself and his wife, adding that mutual respect, harmony, and strong teamwork are vital to delivering effective service.
