KUCHING: Motorists heading to the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2026 are advised to plan their journeys ahead, as a temporary road closure will be enforced near the festival venue over the three-day event.
Jalan Sultan Tengah, at the Damai Golf and Country Club junction, will be closed from Jun 26-28, between 8am and midnight daily, to facilitate traffic management during the festival at the Sarawak Cultural Village.
Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the closure is necessary due to the road layout and limited parking spaces available at the venue.
Visitors are required to park their vehicles at the entrance to the Damai Golf and Country Club and use the shuttle bus service provided to travel to the festival grounds.
The public are urged not to park indiscriminately or in a manner that could obstruct traffic.
They should also plan their trips in advance to help ease congestion throughout the event.
