MIRI: Heavy rainfall for the past few days, led to landslides along the banks of Jambatan Sungai Lusut, partially affecting Jalan Kampung Lusut in Lambir.
Authorities have assured the public that the situation remains under control.
The Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) reported that personnel were dispatched to the site after receiving information about the incident at 9.41 am, on Monday (Dec 30).
Upon arrival, initial monitoring revealed that the landslides occurred near the road bridge leading to Kampung Lusut.
While preliminary assessments have been conducted, the APM noted that a more comprehensive evaluation will require expertise from relevant technical agencies.
The public is advised to remain vigilant, particularly in areas prone to similar incidents, as authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
