SIBU: The Sibu Anti-Drug Squad (SADS) and HQ Optical launched a humanitarian aid mission through a caring initiative to comfort a squad member affected by a recent fire incident in Kampung Jeriah Abang Ramli at Jalan Oya here.

This mission reflects SADS’ concern and responsibility in ensuring the welfare of its members is always prioritised, in line with the values of kindness and togetherness under the Malaysia MADANI framework.

In addition, the initiative aims to assist community members facing problems, conflicts and disasters by providing aid, emotional support, advisory services, and referrals to relevant agencies when necessary.

Daily necessities were delivered directly to the affected member in a simple but meaningful gesture.

The visit demonstrated the concern and solidarity of SADS’ members and friends who went to the site to witness the aftermath of the incident and offer moral support in person.

Also present during the presentation of contributions were HQ Optical’s proprietor, Jeffery Ong Sii Hou; SADS’ Deputy Chairman, Mohamad Mostapha Lasot; SADS’ Treasurer, Nur Najwa Yusuf; and other members.

Earlier, assistance in the form of basic necessities was also contributed by Rizqi Shop Enterprise and several individuals who expressed concern over the incident.
