KUCHING: Johan “Jojo” Ghazali has silenced his doubters in ONE Fight Night 35, stopping Morocco’s Zakaria El Jamari with a thunderous TKO to reignite his Muaythai charge at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand today (Sept 6).
The 18-year-old Malaysian had been under pressure after back-to-back decision defeats in ONE Championship bouts, with critics questioning if the hype around him was fading.
Determined to prove a point, Jojo came out aggressively, dictating the tempo with sharp combinations and heavy strikes.
El Jamari absorbed the early pressure, but Jojo’s relentless pace soon took its toll.
Midway through the contest, Jojo unleashed a blistering barrage that sent El Jamari crashing to the canvas.
The referee waved it off, awarding the Sarawak-based fighter a resounding technical knockout.
Jojo now holds a 7-3 record in the championship with this win.
The victory not only snapped Jojo’s skid but also reaffirmed his place as one of Malaysia’s brightest fighting prospects.
At just 18, he has time on his side — and his latest statement suggests the best of “Jojo” is still to come.
