KUALA LUMPUR: Hextar Capital Bhd’s subsidiary, Legacy Core Sdn Bhd, has bagged a sub-contract for the Kabota Camp Project in Tawau, Sabah, with a RM75.9 million contract value.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, Hextar said the sub-contract will comprise geotechnical and earthworks, pavement, infrastructure works, and related construction work for the project.

Its Managing Director, Johnson Chang, said the contract marks a strategic advancement for the group as it accelerates its footprint in East Malaysia.

“Securing this major project serves as a pivotal step in establishing a stronger operational presence in Sabah.

“As Sabah continues to prioritise infrastructure development and urban growth, this award positions Hextar to participate more actively in the state’s expanding construction pipeline,” he said.

The project will start immediately, with a 12-month duration, and is targeted for completion by March 31, 2027.

Hextar is a diversified group involved in manufacturing, engineering services, telecommunications infrastructure, power generation, construction and project management. – BERNAMA
