KUCHING: Hope FC delivered a composed all-round performance to secure a 4–0 win against Golong FC on Sunday in Liga Bandaraya action, tightening their grip on third place in the standings.

Goals from Aril, Zuhayr (two), and Marcel sealed an emphatic victory for Hope, who now have 40 points from 18 matches, winning 13, drawing once, and losing four.

Manager Bryan Cheong expressed pride in the team’s overall showing but emphasised the need for continued improvement in key areas.

“It was a good performance from everyone in the team, solid from top to bottom.

“But we could’ve been more clinical in front of goal and more patient in possession.

“Always things to improve on, but I’m proud of the boys and the team,” he told Sarawak Tribune yesterday.

The result reflected Hope’s growing cohesion and consistency as they push to maintain their top-three position in the league.

Next, Hope FC will face Kuir FT this Sunday (Oct 26) at 8.30pm at Field C, Petra Jaya. Kuir currently sit seventh in the Liga Bandaraya standings.
