KUCHING: Eight families affected by a devastating fire at Kampung Dayak earlier this week have received temporary food aid from Hope Place.
The fire, which destroyed eight houses, has left six of the affected families temporarily sheltered at All Saints’ Church.
In response, Hope Place stepped in to provide essential supplies, including biscuits, malt drinks, instant coffee, and children’s milk powder. Other household necessities such as bath gel, shampoo, and diapers were also distributed.
Kelvin Wan, representing Hope Place, handed over the contributions to Mariam, a representative from the Social Welfare Department (JKM) stationed at the relief site.
For those wishing to contribute, Hope Place—also known as Persatuan Kebajikan Harapan Kuching (PKHK)—can be contacted at 082-505987 or 013-5672775.
Donations are welcome, with receipts provided upon request. Contributions can be made directly to the organisation’s Maybank account (MBB: 511289001160) or via Sarawak Pay/S PAY GLOBAL by visiting their Facebook page.
