KUCHING: Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd has announced the soft launch of its innovative plastic recycling factory here for building construction materials.

The event marks a significant step toward reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainability in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“The new factory, strategically located in Kuching, is designed to significantly reduce the volume of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and oceans, while simultaneously promoting a circular economy.

“This effort aligns with Hornbill Networks Consortium’s mission of ‘Connecting Green through Innovation’, showcasing the company’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship,” according to a press release.

“Our new factory demonstrates our commitment to sustainable development and our belief that innovation can drive positive change for the environment.

“By recycling plastic waste into valuable building materials, we aim to make a tangible difference.

“Our goal is to lead by example, demonstrating that businesses can play a critical role in reducing plastic waste and supporting the SDGs.”

Hornbill Networks Consortium also plans to fine-tune its operations, expand its recycling capacity, and increase community outreach for plastic waste collection.
