KUCHING: Embracing the spirit of unity and compassion during Ramadan, 30 individuals from six underprivileged families in and around the city were treated to a special breaking-of-fast (iftar) event.

The “Jom Makan Ramadan Buffet Dinner”, hosted by Imperial Hotel Kuching on Monday night (March 3), provided a meaningful iftar experience for the families.

The hotel collaborated with the non-governmental organisation (NGO) Hope Place Kuching, which is dedicated to helping those in need.

As part of the hotel’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, the families were identified and invited to share in the special occasion.

Later, as a gesture of care and support, each family received a Ramadan aid package containing essential household items, including rice, cooking oil, flour, sugar, and canned food.

Additionally, they were presented with duit raya (festive money gifts), which were handed out by the hotel’s general manager, Patrick Kuek.

Meanwhile, Hope Place Kuching continues to welcome volunteers and donors to support its noble mission.

For more information, the public can contact Hope Place at 082-505987 or via their official social media pages.
