KUCHING: A house owner and staff of the New Sarawak Tribune was injured on his left arm when he fought a thief who tried to steal the compressor of his air conditioner today at about 12.05pm at Kampung Kudei in Satok.
The house owner had warned the thief to stop dismantling the compressor but the latter pretended not to hear him.
In the subsequent scuffle, the house owner hurt his left arm but managed to apprehend the thief.
Police, who were informed, later arrested and detained the suspect for further questioning.
Two days ago, the same suspect was said to have trespassed into a house in the area. He was released because the house owner did not lodge a police report.
