MIRI: A housewife was robbed at knifepoint on Monday night at a parking lot in front of a bank at Jalan Boulevard here.

The incident reportedly occurred around 9pm, minutes after she and her one-year-old son came down from their car.

They were walking towards the bank’s automated teller machine (ATM) when suddenly a man wearing a full face helmet approached the victim from behind and placed a sharp object.

The suspect allegedly demanded, “Give me your money!”

And before the victim could respond, the man grabbed the victim’s wallet that had RM800 inside and fled the scene.

A police report had been lodged by the victim that same night at Miri Central Police Station (CPS).
