KUCHING: Hundreds of Kuching residents turned up at CityOne Megamall today for Medical Camp 2025, a major community outreach offering free, inclusive and accessible health services.
Launched by Kota Sentosa Assemblyman, Wilfred Yap Sau Sin, the event brought together 40 participating partners and organisations to close healthcare gaps for the underprivileged group.
Jointly organised by Pertubuhan Pembangunan Insan Sarawak (PPIS) and Lions Club Kuching Unity, the camp aims to support low-income families, the elderly, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups through a wide range of medical and wellness services.
The free services include health screenings, medical consultations, a blood donation drive, acupuncture, dental and eye checks, mental health support, a stop-smoking clinic, and many more.

“This initiative is more than just a gathering; it is a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when community, compassion and care come together,” Yap said.
He reaffirmed the government’s support for grassroots health initiatives and welcomed greater collaboration between NGOs, private partners, and government agencies.
“Let this event be a model for future efforts where public-private partnerships work hand in hand for the greater good,” he added.
