KUALA LUMPUR: The Haval H6 HEV has put its fuel efficiency to the test, lasting more than 24 hours on the road and surpassing 1,000 kilometres on one tank of fuel.
The challenge, organised by Mediabrands Content Studio (MBCS) in partnership with Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia, took place on the Temiang–Pantai Highway in Negeri Sembilan.
The hybrid SUV ran continuously for a full day, covering 1,013 kilometres on a 61-litre tank. The run was monitored and filmed in real time, with footage edited and uploaded as the event unfolded.
MBCS executive creative director Mun Tuck Wai said the aim was to show the vehicle’s capabilities rather than present them as figures.
“Fuel efficiency figures can feel like esoteric specs on a page, so instead of saying it, we showed it. This campaign is proof that the H6 outlasts even its own advertising,” he said.
He added that the toughest part of the test was not the vehicle but the people involved.
“Running non-stop for 24 hours through heat, rain, and changing road conditions pushed the limits of endurance for all involved and truly proved the Haval H6 HEV as unstoppable,” he said.
GWM Malaysia marketing director Lim Ee Lenn said the result underlined the model’s reputation for reliability.
“To achieve over 1,000km on a single tank is not just a claim — it’s a fact we’ve proven. Far from an ordinary campaign, it was a testament to the endurance and reliability of the H6,” she said.
