KUALA LUMPUR: i-CATS University College has clinched the Best Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) award in the university college category at the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Awards 2025.
The prestigious national recognition underscores the institution’s commitment to academic quality, integrity and a culture of continuous improvement.
It also reflects the strength of i-CATS’ governance, robust quality assurance framework and dedication to educational excellence.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi received the award at a ceremony officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre on Monday (Aug 11).
Also present were Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir and Deputy Minister Datuk Mustapha Sakmud.
In his speech, Mohamad Kadim said the award reflects the collective dedication, professionalism and commitment of its academic and administrative teams, as well as the active engagement of students.
“At i-CATS, academic quality assurance is not merely an operational requirement, it is a strategic pillar that underpins our governance, informs our academic decisions and drives our continuous pursuit of excellence,” he said.
The MQA Awards, organised annually, celebrate exceptional achievements in higher education quality assurance across universities, university colleges and colleges.
The IQA category recognises institutions with outstanding internal mechanisms for ensuring and enhancing academic quality.
