Ibrahim, Julaihi, Annuar, and Len elected as PBB’s new vice presidents

KUCHING: Datuk Ibrahim Baki, Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, and Datuk Len Talif Salleh have been elected as the new vice presidents of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), following a competitive six-way race.

Ibrahim led with 910 votes, while Julaihi secured 900 votes, Annuar garnered 788 votes, and Len received 687 votes.

Incumbents Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah (669 votes) and Deputy Utility and Communication Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi (546 votes), were unseated in this hotly contested race.

Ibrahim, the Satok assemblyman and GPS DUN Chief Whip, stood out with strong grassroots backing and political acumen honed over 40 years of service in PBB. His leadership roles, including chairman of Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) and GPS treasurer-general, reflect his influence within both PBB and the broader Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition.

Meanwhile, Len Talif, the Kuala Rajang assemblyman and former Belawai assemblyman, brings a wealth of experience in urban planning and environmental governance. As chairman of TEGAS, he has been instrumental in advancing Sarawak’s digital and technological initiatives.

PBB’s nine vice president posts include two reserved for the Youth and Women chiefs, three for the Pesaka Wing, and four for the Bumiputera Wing.
