KUCHING: At las Edible Ice (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd has announced its collaboration with iFleet to enhance the performance of its commercial fleet. iFleet is the first Internet of Things (IoT) solution undertaken by Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) which provides Business-to-Business (B2B) solution targeted at commercial vehicles as its range of Connected Vehicle offerings.
The intelligent fleet tracking solution enables Atlas to track its fleet in real time.
Hence, it is relevant due to Sarawak’s challenging topography which comprises three distinct regions. These regions are classified as coastal lowlands comprising of peat swamps and narrow deltaic and alluvial plains, a large region of undulating hills ranging about 300 meters and the highlands extending to the Kalimantan Border. Atlas fleet drivers have to adapt their driving styles to the region they are in and determine the fastest way to reach their customers.
Branch Manager of Atlas Ice Sarawak, Kong Chak Wan hoped that with this collaboration, they would be able to enhance their customers’ satisfaction and reduce complaints about missed or late deliveries.
“There is also a mobile app for managers on the move and the tracking accuracy for iFleet is higher compared to our previous system,” said Kong.
